How hard is it to change a bnf transmitter?

Just wondering

a bind-n-fly will work with any transmitter that supports the protocol that the bnf uses.
If you want to change to a different protocal, it would require swapping out the RX, which might be a simple situation (if the RX is 'dumb' and a distinct part) or effectively a complete replacement of most of the electronics (it it has the RX built into a board along with other stuff).

I'm sorry theres a typo its supposed to say receiver
I not a problem to put a new Rx in a plane. I know a few who buy a BnF plane with a Spectrum Rx who will remove it, sell it to a friend and replace it with the Rx of their choice. Keep in mind you may lose some functionality, the stability, SAFE, is often built into the Rx. If you are counting on it, you will need to replace the stability also.

Also be aware different brands of Tx use a different channel order. Some use channel 1 for throttle others channel 3. You may need to rearrange the plugs in the new Rx.
