Can i use a 25 amp esc with a small motor like the blue wondor or hextronik 24g brushless motor or will it be too large?

Thanks, Ryan

Don't worry about esc's being too large. Look up the specs on the motor. Look at max current draw (load) for the motor to be sure, you don't want the max current to exceed the rating of the ESC. But you should be fine with 25amp esc's.

Yes, absolutely. You can burn out an ESC by drawing too much current, but it won't hurt the motor to have a bigger ESC. I'm using a Red Brick 30A on my hextronik 24g because HK was out of the recommended 18A when I was ordering. I'm not sure I would trust the specs on the hextronik motor, though, since HK lists it as 7.5A and FliteTest recommends an 18A ESC. I realize you should derate the ESC, but that seems like a significant difference to me...
