I just got a Flysky FS I6X for my 16th birthday and am having trouble with it. I have the Rx and Rx binded and the servos work, but when I power the ESC, the motor beeps rapidly and the motor twitches slightly. Please help!

Try setting throttle to the max, turn on plane, once you hear beeps, bring throttle back down to zero, you should hear more beeps, it should work now.

I have not used a FlySky in a few years. If I recall, you need to reverse the throttle channel.
Then calibrate the ESC as Mr Man suggested.

First, before you do anything else, be sure to remove the prop. You don't want it to start spinning unexpectedly.

I have a FlySky and I didn't know that. (I like my Spektrum DX6E better)

Always keep the prop off until ready to fly or just displaying with no battery in sight. And thanks!

No dice. I noticed that the throttle channel on the Rx 1st channel says ppm/ch1 on it and in the Tx settings menu, under Rx setup there's an option to switch from output mode pwm to ppm. When I did that and tried again, the motor did the first three beeps in its usual startup sequence, not the rapid beeping described above. I couldn't get anything else to happen however

You have to have the ESC plugged into channel three. Yeah it won't work on PPM unless you are using something like a gyro.

There's a LOT of good youtube videos online how to set up flysky TX/RX setup too!
