I do have an old aeroscout motor

That will work amazing too! just the plane overall is a really good flyer, even in some wind, just keep it at walkign speed, not faster.

Yes, though you'd want to move up to a 6x4.5 to get more thrust (and don't expect even a 1:1 thrust to weight). I have flown the FT-22 with ppA and a 850 2s, it was generally sluggish and much less exciting / capable than on 3s

Sounds like you need to up your control rates! My elevons would hit the underside of the vertical stabilizers at full deflection

My vote is the mini scout or mini arrow. Two completely different models and both fly great in their own right. I haven't tried the commuter or any of the mini warbirds yet. I have about a half of a mini corsair built.

I might need to build an FT22. I have thought about building one of the little jets.
