Turning a Cardboard cutout into a plane. Need help

My class decided to make a cardboard cutout of an old teacher and thought it would be fun to make it into an rc airplane. I have made a few multirotors, but don't know alot about planes, so I need some help about how and if this would be possible. The cutout looks like this:

Do you have any ideas about how we could do this and how difficult it would be to convert him into a plane?

It's kinda long. So, two things:
It could be a wing, or it could be a fuselage, but using it as a single-surface aircraft might not end well.

The plan is to add wings, but I am not sure about what would be the best way of doing this. For example would it be best for him to face down and extend the cardboard for the wings, or make him face sideways and have the wing go through him?
