That was awesome! Loved seeing the build progress photos at the beginning too. Always nice seeing what other people’s processes look like. Beautiful plane in the end.
Amazed at how little space it took up on your flying field. Is it pretty easy to keep it in a medium sized space like that? I haven’t done a master series plane yet so I am curious how they handle. great piloting!

I can testify to the Spit's ease of handling in the air. Its a great plane to fly. However, my landing technique isn't the best yet- I'm used to killing the throttle and floating in. Can't do that with this bird, though.

My piloting skills aren't the best, so I'm laying off the rudder more than I should. I'm fairly new to the hobby and am self-taught. I'll see about some bigger 3S batteries- I do like her scale presence in the air. Thanks for the recommendation!
I’d go with battleaxe recommendation for the 4s I had mine up in air with 4s 3000 for maiden. Balanced out great and flying at 1/2 throttle with the odd punch now and then lol had usual 5-6 min flight and still had 60% left in battery
just because it’s on 4s and you have the power there doesn’t mean you use it m8, fly at throttle you enjoy

Thanks for all of the great advice, everyone. I've got a 4S 2200 (the biggest battery I own) and will try it out this morning. The activity on this forum is awesome! Stay healthy and happy flying to you all.

Out of Foam Board!
I mean, it's a Spitfire, putting a Monster Radial in the nose could allow you to shift the battery back ;) somebody's probably doing it already :p

footage now added to the grail that is FT Spitfire 😍

man that looks so good! Especially with those led lights on at dusk 😍
beautiful flying too. Nice maneuvers!
it seems like landing this beautiful bird is kind of a handful though. Like you have to really fly it in and finesse it. Not much of a glider I guess? Ive got to build one of these 😬

yeah she can be , but it was maiden at dusk and I thought I was at ground level before I killed the motor and dunked her lol

Nice flight. I like the lights
thanks, I know it’s not really Scale for the Spitfire but nice little touch and looks good 😍

as for the sound resonating in the FB wings when she’s diving or punching it ........ love it

Nice flight ShadeyB, lights look great flying at dusk.

Still not finished my build, not much needs doing but unable to fly with this lockdown, not complaining though, this has given me the time to start my next project.
Started to build a 150% Spit with the new maker foam a few weeks back, 175 sheets of paper for the plans took a little time to put together.
I have the fuse built and in the process of preparing it to be glassed, I decided to remove all the paper and use a slightly thicker cloth this time round, Fuse is weighing in at 296g at the moment and expect that to at least double once its glassed, I have given the build a 3kg Limit, so hopefully on target

Wow, that’s awesome! I have esc’s coming in the mail for a 200% build - I’m thinking about trying the P-38.

Hey all, Made a bit of progress on my 150% build. Fuse has been stripped of all paper and replaced with glass fibre cloth.
Started on the cockpit the other day, still an awful lot to do, but its starting to come together.
