What to salvage?

So, my son and I burned up this FT 2212-1259kv motor in a crash.

What should I salvage? The magnets and cables seem nice, is anything else worth keeping?

You could pull the bearings and make mini fidgit spinners.....

The shaft, if it’s reusable. I’ve bent and replaced shafts on a couple motors and would be handy to have extras.

I have done this and 3D printed them. Found one the other day when cleaning out the junk drawer. Make sure 6ou are wearing eye protection and leather gloves if you use an air hose to spin them up to max RPM.....

Old motors make decent prop balancers. Just pull the magnets out & put the rest back together.

If you are ambitious, the motor could be rewound.

I'm not that ambitious, but I don't have a balancer!

Diy Balancer is just two flat relatively sharp supports with some sort of end stops that are dead plumb.

I suspect motor wire would be common online from the car racing sites.

Problem is: sometimes rewinding motors gets addictive
