Two years ago, I made the Start UP!, a 3D printable airplane that was originally intendet as a trainer. But in my opinion, it was a failiure. The flight characteristics were not good enough, it was always on the edge of a stall when in a low speed turn and it had the worst stall characteristics...
Good day everyone.
An introduction to InPrint Airplanes. InPrint is a startup company focussed on developing quality, 3D files for printed aircraft. We also provide fully illustrated and detailed print, assembly, and setup documentation.

Hi Guys!
I'm in grade 9 and my school will buy a 3D printer for "special projects" as long as it is under 500 dollars CAD. I'd like to be able to 3D print RC airplanes and other RC things. I am just wondering what is a good 3D printer for under 500 CAD.
Thanks,
Cpl. Goertz
Hello,
My name is Dave, and I have a Markforged Mark Two Fiber printer as well as a PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS printer. I can print plane and drone parts, and I'm trying to design my own drone for flight (although the last time I made something that flies it was run on a crystal radio in 2003...)...
Hey guys, i finally finished and am releasing my design for a mock radial engine. The engine files can be found on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4460787 . The design allows for a adequate amount of room for the flite test radial engine as well as it also fitting snugly into...
Phil here - some know me as Bracesport. :D
As we faced the Covid19 head on a couple of things have changed - We have been involved in distance learning with the kids and we have been working from home - While I am still an active industrial designer, while locked down I have been doing plenty...
After watching the FT Battleship episode with the warbirds dropping bombs, I decided there wasn't enough good (somewhat realistic) bomb drops. I began designing these, and I'm pretty close to the final product. It prints in three pieces, snaps together, and uses one 9g servo. It also has built...
Printing RC Planes … hmmmm … why not.
I got myself a nice and cheap Troxy X1 3d Printer, some nice Extensions from Thingiverse, the local Toolstore and a plan from 3dLabs and here we go.
Here are some pics from the printing process
I've been curious about printing this spitfire I found on Thingiverse, and I was thinking of seeing Flitetest take the plane out, and demonstrate it's performance, here's the link to the Stl files for the Spitty: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2349879
On a whim I decided to take on this massive print project.
While the rational person would already have concluded cost + hours = cheaper to buy a foamy I do love a good challenge.
Stay tuned as this project develops and progresses.

Here is a shot of my new Simple Scout with 3D printed cylinders, wheels, and pilot. I also did the vinyl decals myself. I'm very excited about what this new technology will bring to this hobby!
On the forums a while back someone asked about combining foam board and 3D printing. I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that if you could replace the fuselage, you would eliminate half the work of building a traditional FT foamy. So, I started working on a 3D printed fuselage for the...
I was given a 3D printer, the CR-10 which is also on the forum, as an early Christmas present from my youngest son. It seems he did his homework as the reviews claim it is currently the best at its price. With it came some essential software, the Cura slicer. As I learn about 3D printing I...
I wish some talented FT fan would bridge the gap between 3D printing and FT scratch builds. I would love to see, for example. The FT Explorer, 3d printed Cockpit and rudder\elevator section. Leaving the wing and fuselage still made out of dollar tree foam.. I'm sure many FT scratch builds could...
Hi guys!
I didn't even know this world existed.
Back when I was a kid, all i wanted was an RC plane! Never flew one for more than a minute. 15 years later, i'm finally pulling the trigger and buying my own plane!
I just ordered a Bix 3 after extensive research and (as it's summer)...
After a long hiatus I am back to the FT community. For those of you who don't know, I am a college student and this year school work and weather really put the hobby on the back-burner. But now school is out and I have time to get back in to things. I am looking forward to sharing some exciting...
Hi guys just received my Forge, super excited to get started. I might be jumping ahead here because I haven't read all the manual. I did notice a Cura settings section, it directs you to download the Cura Settings exe file. I'm on a Mac does anyone know if there is a DMG or have any info on what...
With the increase use of 3D printing for parts, accessories and even whole aircraft how about a dedicated sub forum for this aspect of the hobby within a hobby.
Hi guys,
love the site and videos and very tempted to fly over for the Flitefest. We would love to setup a flitetest distribution in Australia as the shipping and local availability of foam is poor.
I have built the FT Spitfire, an FFF Eagle and Infinion all in foam board. Slowly building my...
Hey Gang, so I totally know what you're thinking... Oh lord, ANOTHER project this guy has going on?!?! He's never going to finish any of them... You know what I say to that?
Yeah, you're probably right. :p;)
However, that doesn't mean I don't ATTEMPT to. Sharing is caring and I have an idea...
