    Foam for UK flyers????

I've been wanting to build the FT spitfire for a while now but I can't seem to find any foam board in the UK. What is it that people use here? Depron foam is the main thing I have found on Ebay and amazon really.

    FT 3D depron profile

Hello everybody. This is my first build thread over here, so please be reasonable with your comments :) The background: 1. Light = cheap. 2. I live in a country where 1,2m x 0,8m depron sheet costs less than 10$. EPP foam is almost twice that, and DTFB/FTFB is not available by any means. 3...

FT-22 frame clearance issues with recommended 9x4.7 slow flyer prop

Hi there, My son and I are doing our first ever FT builds and we decided on building the FT-22 using Depron. Our electronic parts arrived from HK Australia today, and the first thing I noticed was the size of the 9 x 4.7 slow flyer props. I fitted on the wings that I cut over the weekend and...

What to do if your foam sheet has no "protecting paper" on it?

Hi guys, I'm brazilian and here there is no dollar tree, in other words, the foam here is expensive and hard to find, I bought Depron and it didn't come with that paper on it, I am going to make a FT Mustang and I am afraid of braking it while doing the wing. Do you have any idea of how I should...

6mm Depron FT Simple Storch... The journey begins.

Hi All, Well, having had some issues with UK foam board and weight, I decided to take the plunge and get 10 sheets of Depron. I was so pleased to hear, on the podcast, about Peters idea/plan to adapt some of the FT designs, and I figured I'd have a go and start the ball rolling. So this is the...

    Depron in the UK

FT, advice for Depron users. As a beginner... I have just spent a happy hour cutting out the FT Flyer from Depron, which is really cheap here. Good results after abandoning the fold joints. Without the paper facing component and with the extra problem of it being slightly thicker, 6mm, things...

UK - Foam board at a reasonable price - FOUND !

I've been looking for a good price for foam board, here in the UK. It's hard to compete with the Dollar store stuff you US guys can buy. As well as being labeled 'foam board', it's also know as 'poster board and 'presentation board' over here. Is that also true of the U.S. ? Viking direct...

    Does Size Matters?

Hello there. I'm mad about Corsairs F4U. Now I'm building one with 1000mm wingspan. It's comes from here: http://manubricole.free.fr/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=131 But, as you can see, its a derivation of another plans. The original make a smaller plane… So I decided built this too and there's...

    Show Suggestion for beginners

Hi, I am new to the RC field and is totally confused about the different types of foam available. EPP, Depron, EPO etc. Also, I am not sure on which glue should be used for what. It would be great if you could do a detailed show on "All about foam and glues". I am sure it will be welcomed by...
