I'd like to comment on something I've never seen addressed on any 104 model builds. I was an F-104 Air Force pilot in the mid-60s, and dearly loved the airplane. What I'm referring to is blown flaps. If we happened to lose that capability in the real plane, it was considered a minor emergency and you needed a LOT of extra runway in addition to the drag-chute to get the bird stopped. If you are talking about a truly scale model, I'd think you might have the same issue. Landing speeds went from about 180 mph to over 200 mph. A lot of extra inertia. With a 22 foot wingspan on a 56 foot fuselage, the blown flaps made a world of difference.
