connecting transmitters

I am wanting to get in to the hobby
Will a dx6i transmitter be able to connect to a firebird delta ray with SAFE
and if so where would the panic button be or would it have to be programmed in

Welcome to the forum. From what the FT afterhours say in the podcasts the Hobbyzone Delta Ray is a great way to start.

Looks like you will not have all the modes and the panic will be on a switch and not a button. So it will work.

If you had a DX 6 or 9 ( the newer trs) then ANY DSM2 transmitter that will bind to a dsm2 receiver can be bound "wirelessly" to the DX transmitter as the new transmitters have a receiver built in for the buddy box function. Clubs that provide training should jump on this.
