Hey guys!

I have a Martian II 220mm frame, EMAX RS2205 2300kv BLDCs and a Pixhawk PX4 2.4.7. The estimated weight of my drone would be approx 850gms. I will be using the drone for indoor videos and/ or target tracking.

I am having trouble zeroing in on the correct ratings for the LiPo battery and the model for the ESC.
I do not need raw speed as I will not be using it for racing.

1. LiPo Battery

What should be the minimum discharge rating(C) required for my specifications?
If i want to aim for a minimum of 10 minutes of flight time, is 2200mah going to cut it?

2. ESC

I had shortlisted the Emax BLHeli Series 30A ESC, but saw a lot of people posting about issues with it(esp. on YouTube). As of now, i need a solution which works out of the box and want to avoid the nitty-gritty of the firmware etc.(I also read that EMAX ESCs may face issues with the Pixhawk FC)

I would be immensely helpful if someone could suggest a suitable ESC which comes with the firmware pre-flashed.

Here are a few which i had shortlisted(based on motor ratings and referred this link: https://oscarliang.com/top-5-best-mini-quad-esc/):

(i). Emax BLHeli Series 30A ESC(https://emaxmodel.com/catalog/product/view/id/101/s/blheli-series-30a-esc/)
(ii). Emax Bullet Series 35A ESC(https://emaxmodel.com/bullet-series-35a-esc.html)
(iii). Spedix IS30 ESC(https://rcmumbai.com/catalog/product/view/id/2203/s/spedix-is30-2-4s-30a-esc-set-of-4/category/47/)
(iv). Racerstar RS30A V2(https://m.racerstar.com/racerstar-r...rt-oneshot42-multishot-16_5-dshot600-p-9.html)
(v). Holybro Tekko32 35A(http://www.holybro.com/product/tekko32-esc35a/)
(vi). Aikon AK32 35A ESC(https://www.aikon-electronics.com/index.php?id=19)

I would be grateful for any help I receive.
Regards.

For indoors I would build something called a cinewhoop. It's basically a big tiny whoop and they are great at getting indoor shots and smooth video. Here's one ready built, but you might be able to go cheaper by building it yourself. https://www.racedayquads.com/produc...-frsky-choose-4s-or-6s?variant=31504184770673

If you are still sticking with the martian 220 then I would say the emax motors and a 2200mah would be fine for flight time, maybe just do a 2000mah. I would also get a stackable flight controller that is more compatible with the ESC's. A nicer FC means you'll get smoother video and better flying! Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Wake up! Time to fly!
It all depends on your payload (camera gear in your case) that will determine power needed and then from there an appropriate battery can be calculated. I do agree with @"Corpse" that a smaller cinewhoop would be better and safer specially if ducted. That also makes silly humanz feel more safe with the quad buzzing around with the smaller size and prop guards.

Paul Nurkkala is a pro pilot and videograpgher and has build a very capable cimewhoop you might want to look at for ideas or even getting one.
