No, appropriate size for that motor. This plane comes in around same size and weight as the older FT warbirds(Spitfire, Mustang, P-40) and I use 8x6 props on all of those and my FT Racers and they all work great, never had an issue or problem

I was just wondering because.. my 2212 1000kv motor has a recommended prop of 0945... And yours spins twice as fast🤔.
But maybe the specs are as little off

I'm not a speed demon when I'm flying so that prop size works good for how hard I push that motor. Don't think I have ever used more than 75% throttle on that motor, and to me that seemed crazy fast LOL!

Time to make her look pretty . Small skin to finish off the tail and canopy are final two parts to go on. Undecided on a color scheme as of yet , I have it down to two possibilities - one warbird style and the other is completely in the other direction. Here's how she looks now, had to go with a two bladed prop as my 3 blade spinners were just a little too small.

So the vinyl process has begun, easier to do this before control horns and pushrods are installed. Wing was fairly straightforward , 6 pieces . Started with bottom centre piece first then bottom of tips making sure to wrap the vinyl around the leading edge about 1/2 an inch so that you can wrap the top skins over that piece and trim for a nice clean seam. Going to stop here for tonight and get my camera set up so that I can record the rest of the process and share some of my technique with the rest of you who are interested. Looking pretty sweet so far though.

Not sure what you mean by faults, you mean the skin seams?I would be first to admit I could have put a little more effort in smoothing those a bit but the reality is that its a foamboard plane skinned in posterboard so whether I left it black and just clearcoated it or did this the faults were going to show either way. Remember that planes of this era were far from perfect and this plane is not completely done either. Didn't expect everybody to like it but I do appreciate the feedback
