Excellent approach! I think you're on the right track with plenty of simulator time, and then a high-wing foam plane to 'get your RC wings' before diving into the deep end.

Thanks! That's reassuring. Talking about the water... that tale spin plane..... that will definitely be built at somepoint! Or maybe the otter. But I think i'd prefer the looks (and the nostalgia!) of the Tale Spin version.
