Head Tracking is making a come back especially with the DJI HD System. So I had to try it out for myself.
I added a system to my eflite Habu. I was unable to use a spektrum receiver for all kinds of reasons so I am using my FfSky GR8 receiver and my tarannis. WOW this is going to be a kick in the pants. On this flight I was not the pilot but only the rider, I wanted to test the Head Tracking system while someone else ensured that the Habu was in trim and CG was correct and here is the results enjoy.

A few things I noticed during the flight was that the tracker was very quick. IN other words barely moved my head and it was zipping across the screen so I may try adding some expo in and see if may I can slow it down a bit,

My buddy recently was given a DJI Phantom 1 with FC40 camera (2013-ish tech). I am checking it all out for him and am ready to maiden. Should I do it in these winds or wait for them to kick up a few notches?

So first two attemps I caught on phone. Went as expected. Both of the "Original" batteries were quite saggy and barely enough to get it to move.

The next attempt I tilted the drone into the wind to give it a head start. Dropped phone and didn't catch the launch, but did catch it briefly in the air till the battery sagged out.

So I got a chupito the other day. Nope it aint shots of tequila, though you might think I had been doing some. It came with no assembly or specs, duh I forgot we live in the digital age and needed to download them, so I educated guessed and l ahh slapped it together. It was quite the experience we shall say that, and a lot of fun. Enjoy!!
