LOL...i knew you working on a Hawker...great looking plane, i cant wait so see your finished version (i hope you do a brown/green version ;) ). But man i love what you have done with the 109, that is really outstanding work...great coloscheme, i really like the yellow nose and the weathering - great work. :)

Yeah the hurricane comes a MkIIC version with cannons, I have already converted mine to .303 guns.

Parkzone BF109G Africa Mod

It got a little quite in here lately and since i finished the redesign of my own Parklzone 109 a little while ago, i thought i show you guys a few pictures of it.
As you can see i changed the colorscheme, installed retracts and flaps, but still use the standard motor which is not bad in my opinion. She still flys very nice even with the extra weight of the retracts...a great flying bird. :D

Enjoy the the pictures, and i hope you guys are currently building new planes, modding them as i write this.
Happy flying ;)

sure i fly them...

Very impressive! Do you fly them at all because, that is a lot of work to go through just to crash!

:D well it is a lot of work, and sure i fly them, andi if i crash, i crash, no problem, i have tons of color and glue at home, i just build a new version, maybe even a better one...and most of the time i bring them back in one piece :)

The desert air filter and cockpit mods are very nice, and as for the paint you must have great patience for such detail.

ARG=almost ready to glue
What can I say that hasn't been said...That plane, like all your others, is absolutley stunning to look at. You have outdone yourself.

The Dornier "Arrow"

Hi there guys, its me again.
The build season just started and our little thread has been a little quite lately, so its good that i just finished work on a smaler modell i didnt even had high hopes for before i started modding it. And now im a bit surprised how much i seem to like it. Im talking about my not so brand new Do335 from HobbyKing aka, Lan-Yu or Guan-Li. A kind of smalish, cheaper, 940mm Wingspan, Twin-engine Warbird.
I baught that one out of the liquidations articles from HK. After a little reading and some research i started modding it a little. So here a few Pictures of the finished Modell. Its not highspeed, still its a twinengine plane and it flys very nicely after the mod, If some of you guys wonder, no - it does not have retracts, the gear doors and everything are just for show, and to make it look a little bit nicer on the ground. one reason the flyingweight is a good 80g under 1kg. The whole thing flys with a 1300mAh highoutput 3s pack - if you dont go to hard on the throttle flighttimes are between 5-6 minutes, plus reserve - enjoy.

Its not perfect, i would like to change the props for example, to nice 3-bladers if possible,, but i havnt found the right once yet. The only thing i did after i took the pictures was to install the antennas for the Lichtenstein Radar these planes use to carry, turnning them into all-weather interceptors or nightfighters. Its totaly bad for transport but it looks even cooler with all the metall comming out of the wings.
If you guys want to learn more about the mod, what and how i did everything, check out my youtube channel under WarbirdFan66, have fun modding.:)

HK Hurricane

Looks very nice in the air, and i like the colors...HK did a good job. I hope she flys as good as she looks :).
I am working on a Hurricane myself right now, as a winterproject. I had the chance to get my hands on a 1200mm Windrider Hurricane Kit for a reasonable price. Very nice quality i have to say, didnt really expected that.
I post a few pic or a short video of the build as soon as i have something to show, cheers.

Beautiful :D

One question though - why are the letters in a different order on the other side of the plane?

Colorex -

Thank you. I had fun doing the slight weathering.

As I understanding WW II RAF identification lettering, the two letters together towards the front ("UP") designate the squadron; the letter standing alone aft of the roundel ("W") designates the plane.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I was reading it as a whole.

Agreed the Hurricane is a pretty plane

Is the gear removable?

TLMARK -

Yes, the gear is removable. The landing gear is is a metal rod covered in plastic to simulate the landing gear struts and doors. At the section that inserts into plastic sleeves in the wing, the rod forms a "P", which is a snug fit and retained by a 8mm screw with collar.

I did a product and build review published in Flitetest's Planes section entitled "Airfield / Top RC 750mm EPO Hawker Hurricane Review." The photos did not stick with the text but I provided a link to the photos in the Comments section at the bottom of the review ( http://750mmepohawkerhurricanemkiib.shutterfly.com/16 ) There is a close up of landing gear mounting.
