They did say they are going to have a plan solution, but didn't say exactly what, yet.
Could be a single pay per plan, or subscription, or whatever. All good!

It’s not bad for FT to want to get paid for their hard word, or is it all John’s hard work now? What is bad is if they are going back on their word about always providing free plans. I don’t really have a problem paying a reasonable amount for a product or service provided, but if you’ve already said it’s going to be free....hmmmm...??? The wait without any real information is probably the biggest aggravation for most of us though. I’ve just had to cancel yet another item that I’ve had on order for over a month. The mustang and spitfire have been back ordered for a while now but still don’t have an expected restock date so we’re cancelled. Now the mini zero got canceled due to an “inventory error”. At least I have plans to work off of......oh, wait a second, nope, don’t have those...

I saw in aother post that there were was a company or two that were selling un authorized kits?? if thats true, then I can see why hey want to dely the free plans

The reason I don't buy this "stop free plans because other companies are copying them" is that there have been knock off kits for literally years. They even did a YouTube video about a knock off Sparrow kit from banggood, like years and years ago.

I just think it's simply a "we're part of a big company now, and we need to widen our profit margins." So they're either A) gonna stop doing free plans to drive SBK sales, or B) start charging for plans. Personally, I hope they go with option B, as I would be fine with paying for plans to cut out my own planes.

Wow. They even name many of their kits "FT" something. They're not even trying to disguise the fact they ripped off FT. I guess you can lump all of Asia together in this regard.

Think of it this way. Suppose (globally) 1 million airplanes have been built from the free plans. Lets say each kit averages 30.00
That's 30 million dollars one company (FT) has potentially given away. Think about that before you bash these guys.

hey the standard size ones are like $60,,, so if 1/2 million standard ones have been made that is $30 million plus another $30 for mini ones that is $60 million in total

i believe that you have to turn down the power on your laser

I have a 50W laser and cut at 12% (my laser will not fire below 10%) and run the cut 6 times... that gives me a good cut with very little over-burn.

no hope right now the plans are drawn way before but ft is forgetting their roots
