The big bang of Mustangs

Hey guys.

My MiniMustang is pretty beaten up already, it flights well and there is no structural damage, but the aileron servos are starting to malfunction (they are very exposed and they have received quite some hits).

I am going to rebuild the wings with brand new servos.
But I would like to increase it's gliding capability. Will increasing the wingspan around 10cm (5cm more each wing) more be noticeable?

On the mini mustang, I think so. Maybe also increase chord length. So maybe 2cm extra wingspan on each wing and 1cm (or less) extra chord length.

I was told this was the place for mustang builds, so here's mine.
Specs: ~1300g, 2200mAh 4S, 2526 1200kv (fried after 5 minutes of 80% throttle, that's why it goes down in the clip, RIP little Turnigy NTM), 11x5 prop

Beautiful build, and congrats on the successful maiden! Great video, I liked all the drone shots. (y) Too bad about the motor quitting on you.
 
Started the Mustang, added some wood spars to accommodate the bigger motor. No need for dihedral gage building it this way!

Modified the power pod to accommodate the bigger motor. I was not able to mount it in a cross configuration, and in the X configuration I had to use a single popsicle stick instead of 2 bbq skewers. Also reinforced with a thicker firewall and more wood secured with epoxy. Hopefully that will do the trick!
