My MiniMustang is pretty beaten up already, it flights well and there is no structural damage, but the aileron servos are starting to malfunction (they are very exposed and they have received quite some hits).
I am going to rebuild the wings with brand new servos.
But I would like to increase it's gliding capability. Will increasing the wingspan around 10cm (5cm more each wing) more be noticeable?

I was told this was the place for mustang builds, so here's mine.
Specs: ~1300g, 2200mAh 4S, 2526 1200kv (fried after 5 minutes of 80% throttle, that's why it goes down in the clip, RIP little Turnigy NTM), 11x5 prop

I’m late to the party, I built this mini a couple years ago, still going strong! I’m about to start a standard size, I just ordered an NTM 35-36 1400kv because, ummm.... speed!

Modified the power pod to accommodate the bigger motor. I was not able to mount it in a cross configuration, and in the X configuration I had to use a single popsicle stick instead of 2 bbq skewers. Also reinforced with a thicker firewall and more wood secured with epoxy. Hopefully that will do the trick!
Painted up, just need to get some invasion stripes and some stickers and it will be ready to go! Had to add quite a bit of weight in the tail for that bigger motor, might need more we'll see.
