I ordered the FT F-16!
What motor do you recommend using for the F-16's BDF, is it the FT Radial 2207 2400kv?
It says this on the FT Store: "Recommended Electronics: A BDF 2212 high KV motor or a 70mm EDF"

I had really good luck with a 2212 3000kv 4s. Will have these available 4th quarter

The battery box in the kit sent out is slightly different than the box shown in the guide. The second bottom plate that slides in has tabs that seem to fit into notches on the sides of the battery box. If that is the case, the tongue does not fold up to meet the other bottom plate as pictured. Can someone confirm this change and advise.
Oops. It appears there was a design update, maybe, BUT the notches for that part with the tabs are added to the wrong side.
Any info about this, @Splinter189 ?

Mine did not have those tabs. I would simply cut notches for the tabs on the bottom instead of where they are on the top

Oh whoopsI did add that two the wrong side! just trim iff the tabs and glue it below...gotta fix that!!

I am still having issue understanding where to start the measurement for the CG on the wing. It is noted that the CG is 1" to 1.5" from leading edge of wing. Would you measure starting from the corner where the wing and front fairing meet? Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi all, I've just bought the FT F16 Viper master series kit. The kit comes with various different decals including large stylised Scorpions emblems. Anyone any idea where on the airframe the various decals are meant to be located? Thanks.

They are not all for the same squadron. There is AL Air Guard I think - as well as Israeli Air Force. i think the scorpions go on the vertical stab for the Israeli 105th squadron "Hatzor" - @Rasterize can be more definitive perhaps.
Ding! Ding! Cappy wins! The scorpion goes to an IDF F16 (as pictured in his post above) and the US markings are for a plane that flew in the same Alabama Air Guard outfit as a friend of Josh's that got him the ride in the F16 episode. Also thought it gave good orientational clues for flying RC not to mention the whole "Red Tails" historic angle.

BTW, you are going to love flying the FT F-16. It really does amazing with 70mm EDF and 6s.

Many thanks for the replies. I did notice that there was more than one set of decals and it included the Alabama Red Tails that Josh flew with and also included Israeli Roundels. I'd done an image search but not found the colours for the Hatzor squadron. I have a 70mm EDF to go with it so will see what it's like when it's complete.
