I think the problem with GPS is it only measures land speed

How about one of those

The eagletree pitio tube airspeed reader is the only one i would recommend. Other then a radar gun

I'd like to have both the GPS logger and pilot tube so I could see the difference....
Worse case sernario download a GPS app for my phone and stick a phone in the plane, mine only weighs about 4oz haha

Woooo that thing is screaming! Did you get a number for top speed? GPS or Pitot tube?

Yeah I know right! Didn't get a number, which seems slightly deceiving. Oh well. Was probably there or quite close though.

I made some modifications to make it even faster including taking the wingtips off and removing most of the intakes. I also painted it silver - which seems to be my unlucky colour for airplanes. It was super windy. The roll rate was extremely high and needed lots of expo. The elevator on the other hand was the opposite needing a lot less. This was problematic when I went into a dive, was pulling up and up and up, and then moved the stick slightly to the right by accident. The plane flipped onto its back and drove itself straight into the ground.

Yep, bit of a fail.
