Nice!! Any idea on how your going to paint it? I'm either going with a US flag look, or something like the gulf scheme for the Porsche 917.
I might even try painting it like the C8.R Corvette...

What is everybody doing to their wings? I'm about to start building mine, wondering if anyone has some good mods...
I did a KFm2 wing on mine, worked really well on the FT-22. Did some inverts too.

Yes... oh right, I'll say it again in case you didn't hear... YES!

I couldn't really see what the plane was doing, but what you were saying sounds like thrust angle. If not that, maybe trim or CG, but a plane not going where you direct it or resisting maneuvers/doing what it wants is usually thrust angle in my experience.
Yea I already had a concern with that in earlier posts from yesterday. Not that it was extreme, and even at the slightest I didn't think it would be that nuts.
There are so many changes I want to do to it now that I might just build a new one in the near future.

So I remember that you said you glued the motor in at a slight angle - was that causing the issues or do you think that it needs a thrust angle to fly well. Also, how did you clear out the cavities and cut score cuts and all that kind of stuff with the enlarged plans?

For the cavities and score cuts I just measured from the outside cuts 3/16" in toward center, like for where the belly pan and side walls index into the wing section on the bottom. There are 8 or so tabs that have to fit in, I measured from the outer tab cut line in that 3/16" or whatever your FB thickness is, to get the right tab cut. Remember your outer dimensions no matter how much you scale up are gonna be consistent, the difference is the thickness of the FB compared to the enlarged cut outs on the plans... if that makes sense.

I could make a video on it sometime but it is actually pretty simple to figure out. It was a easy little guideline for me to follow for my first time and it worked out for me

Ok, so I need to keep the inside measurement the same and trim off from the outside, right?

I picked up a can of metallic gray and I got some black. Plan on on masking white stripes on the bottom for orientation. Really excited to finish this thing and fly her!
