I'm doing a "little" experiment with foamboard. I'm going to try to use it to make a fiberglass plug. As long as I insulate it properly it should work, this would make boat hills and the like so much cheaper and easier than the traditional method.
The project I'm attempting with this is a 1:96 scale USS Dallas. This is the American submarine in The Hunt for Red October, an LA Class.

I think I'm going to do a project later which involves fiberglassing foamboard to make floats for big gas airplanes. You doing that with the plug should let me know whether it will work or not :ROFLMAO:

Be sure to use resin though since that won't destroy foam.
Resin and I was going to cover the foam in wax paper beforehand, that way it's easier to rip out and I might not have to make a huge mess with acetone.

I'm pretty excited for the new easy pack, I've got a few of my brothers in on it too. We're thinking about doing air races so I started experimenting with Deltas, here's what I came up with. It was originally supposed to have dihedral but it flew better upside down so it's a Delta with anhedral. It flies nicely as a chuck glider.
