How to attach the Spitfire Canopy?

Hi All,

Im just in the process of building my spitfire and im at the canopy stage. The rear canopy went on without issue, but the front canopy supplied with my kit, does not resemble the one on the video series. Has it been upgraded? If so, how does the front end connect? Do the end flaps sit flat and overlap one another? Am i expected to make a cone shape out of them?

Any idea would be helpful. Attached is a picture of what was supplied.

That is not part of the FT Spitfire. If that's what was sent in your Speed Build Kit then there was a mistake made. Definitely contact FliteTest and let them know.

In the meantime here is the piece you are missing so you can move forward with your build.

thanks a lot for the help. I kept trying to wrap my head around the piece that was sent to me....i just couldn't see how it would fit. Thanks for the piece. I'll contact FT first thing in the morning to let them know of the error in the package.

That looks like the cover for the back of the Cruiser fuse.

Definitely not a canopy.
