I have just posted a thread on asking if anyone wants me to build planes for them
Didn't mean your post. These others are just so, you know.... chatbotish (should be a word)
Hi! I am new here and wanna tell how I am making money via my hobby :) I am trying food from different local restaurants and pubs and posting video reviews on TikTok.
Have you considered offering to fix or build model planes for others or even teaching workshops?
Since you mentioned that you're not in a community that is particularly interested in airplanes, one idea could be to offer your knowledge and expertise to others who are curious about airplanes. You could advertise yourself as a private tutor or host small workshops where you teach people about different aspects of aviation. This could be a great way to not only share your passion but also earn some money. Additionally, you could consider offering small guided tours to aviation enthusiasts or even organizing group trips to local aviation museums or airshows.

Sweeping floors, washing cars, mowing lawns, raking leaves, paper boy, getting deposit bottles for the deposit, stuff I did 60+ years ago for cash at your age. Once I got a job painting porch rails for a quarter an hour and thought I was going to die rich. Notice this is all unskilled manual labor requiring a bit of self promotion hustle. These jobs are still there but now include picking up aluminum cans from the roadside which is decently profitable.

This thread is becoming a bot magnet.
Yes it is.
It's like having a thread "All Bots Post Here". Here's some of the things (it actually had 12 points) ChatGPT suggested when I asked what we should do about chat bots:

"Dealing with chat bot posts on your forum thread can be frustrating, but there are steps you can take to mitigate the issue. Here are some strategies to help you address the problem:
  1. Implement Anti-Bot Measures:
    • Use CAPTCHAs or other human verification methods during registration or when posting to the forum. These can help deter automated bots from creating accounts and posting.
  2. Moderation:
    • Enlist moderators to monitor and approve posts before they appear on the forum. This can be time-consuming but effective in preventing bot posts.
  3. Report and Ban Bots:
    • If you can identify specific bot accounts, report them to the forum's administrators or moderators. They can then take action to ban these accounts."

Idk whether these measures can help because chatbots have already become sophisticated enough to be able to generate text that is indistinguishable from human-written text. Sometimes, I doubt a few accounts here, but I'm unable to figure out how to identify the concrete difference between a genuine user and a spambot. Moderating posts is not far away already an effective solution:(

Really? There's no unskilled manual labor required anywhere? How unique. How do you accomplish that where you live? Must have a lot of computer aided automatic machines.
quite the contrary all those manual labor jobs are being done full time by adults with meagre education so ya there's no space for us to make money in that manor . i have friends who have taken up drop shipping for some extra green

To earn money in the aviation world, you could explore options like offering plane washing services at local airports, assisting with aircraft maintenance tasks, or even starting a blog or YouTube channel sharing your insights and experiences.
that would require a degree fro the maintenence part

If you work under an A&P mechanic, they are supervising and are responsible for your work and you don't need any kind of degree or certification. It is not uncommon for someone interested in becoming an aircraft mechanic to do odd jobs in the shop. Really useful to have someone take off all the inspection panels and cowlings, etc before an inspection. And tedious jobs, like drilling out rivets for a skin repair, are often handed off to the apprentice.
At least in the US.

Do you know if there are any regulations for that? Otherwise I have an airport nearby where maybe I can get hired for this type of stuff.

In order to earn your A&P license you are required to have 4000hrs of experience before you can take the test. The only way to earn those hours is either working under a licensed mechanic, or in a school.
Talk to your local A&P and see if they're willing to take you on. The mechanic at my nearest airport and three or four interns/helpers working with him. I don't know if they were all paid or partially volunteers, but I heard he recently let them go for financial reasons.
When they were working, he would check over their work at various points in the process and did the more critical tasks himself.
