Here's some glamour shots before Version 3 gets all beat up.

I went hog wild with the 3D printer and a bunch of things downloaded from Thingiverse.com, including a pilot and gunner, smaller wing ordinance, exhausts, rear and front machine guns, an instrument panel, a bomb cradle, and a tail wheel assembly. I strengthened the lower rudder with a small piece of balsa by the tail wheel assembly and also added a bomb drop mechanism.

The cradle is non-functional, but keeps the bomb aligned during flight. I added a few pennies inside the main bomb for weight. I also cheated with vinyl from Callie Graphics and a canopy from Park Flyer Plastics. No idea about the overall weight.

Thanks again to 13th Squadron for the plans. You folks rock. Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon for a maiden.

Update: It balances pretty well with a 2200 4S battery sitting flush in the back of the battery box.

Thanks! I always get inspiration from all the other folks' pictures of their work- its good to return the favor. The real credit belongs to the Jack and Steve Niezgoda for developing and sharing their plans with everyone.

🤯🤯🤯Woah!!! That is an amazing build! The other fact that you have also built two other beautiful Stuka's is crazy! I can't thank you enough for not only building it... 3 times lol, but for how much detail and time you have put into it. Definitely is appreciated.

The 3D printed scale details definitely take it to another level. I love the authentic swinging bomb drop, functional or not. I actually haven't even gotten around to painting my Stuka yet but I might need to find out where you got the files for some of those prints?

Absolutely! None of the 3D print files are my own. All the credit belongs to the folks over at Thingiverse- I just scaled them to fit your Stuka plans.

These are awesome thank you! I haven't done anything with my Stuka in a while but this makes me want to work on it again.

Also I just saw the drawn panel lines and that is an amazing detail!
