OK. I've gone for it and cut off the tail! Now with enlarged control surfaces set up as elevons. Lighter, and nothing in direct line with the EDF efflux (as elevator was before). Lighter. Less drag. What could possibly go wrong?
Obviously the answer is that lots could go wrong, but there is only one way to find out. Throw it in the air with full throttle, and what the hell!

is the air intake big / long enough to saturate the EDF for max performance?
