The issue is not being able to get it within CG limits though. Thats a long nose with a lot of arm.

You're right. Might be fun to experiment though!

OK. I've gone for it and cut off the tail! Now with enlarged control surfaces set up as elevons. Lighter, and nothing in direct line with the EDF efflux (as elevator was before). Lighter. Less drag. What could possibly go wrong?
Obviously the answer is that lots could go wrong, but there is only one way to find out. Throw it in the air with full throttle, and what the hell!

There’s an additional intake underneath. Flew ok before so should be good now!

Actually, its a little Kitfox and it has some really cool features. Next week, we want to test the third prototype.

What is it made of? got any more pics of how it's built etc?

The second prototype is finished and it flew well, until my buddy crashed it on the fifth flight. It was an epic lawndart and nothing is left except electronics. This gave me the opportunity to improve it one more time. The crash cost around 4 days of printing and 12€ in filament.
