Motor / Prop / ESC / Battery / Wing Span Reference

Just throwing an idea out there with this one.

What do you folks think about a sticky or thread about a super simple "motor KV / Battery Size / Prop / Wingspan" reference? Basically a "what worked for you" with some averaging added in?

As a " just figuring out 4 channel controls" newbie, I can attest for myself I've had no good experiences figuring out what prop works with what motor with what plane. And yes, know I have a watt meter :) but that just gives me safe values, not (roughly) how a plane would fly....

I don't mind maintaining a spreadhseet if you guys want to post away.

Things like

(and when I say generic below, I mean the stuff a lot of us get from Amazon, Banggood, etc cheap. )

FT Simple Cub - 2212 / 2200KV - 30A Generic ESC - 3S 1500 - Generic 7x4 prop
Flies FAST! 30 foot takeoff roll on dead grass. But...fast for a cub!

or

FT Mini SE5 - 1806 2200KV - 15 amp generic ESC - 2S and 3S - Multiple
Tried 2S with 7x4 - couldn't take off
Tried 3S with 7x4 - 5 foot takeoff, would fly at 10% throttle, uncontrollable above 30%
2S 750mAH with 6x4 generic bullnose flies great
3S 750mAH with 6x4 generic bullnose gets exciting.

Just something simple - if you find a combo that works, let's all know. (I'm tired of breaking props)

Bloody Wonder results
A2212 6T 2200KV with a 3S 1000mah, 6x4 flies like a friggin' rocket. Hand launch? try half throttle and it just goes.

Blender Results
Generic A2212 1000KV with a 9x6 - generic 30A ESC, 3S 2200mAH stick flies well balanced

Standard Nutball with a cheap 1806, 2S, generic 15A ESC and a parkfly 7x4 works great.

Giant Nutball 30" Diameter - 2212 1400KV with 30A ESC flies great with a 9x6

I'll start adding some pictures as well.

Would love reference idea! I am new to scratch building, but I am very comfortable flying four channel.
I just got Power pack a which comes with EMAX 1806 and 12 amp ESC and I bought a couple 3s 450mah batteries.I haven't finished my build but it will be done this weekend. Ill let you know how it goes and what I would recommend after I see the flight characteristics.

Cheers!

Slow, low and dirty.
I'm flying my Cub with the stock B-Pack motor and ESC, 3S 20C 1000mah Radiant battery, APC 9x4.7 prop and big ole Timber 1.5 tires (they're Huge). Take off of pavement in less than 4', from soybean stubble in 7'. I can fly for 10 minutes and still have 11+ volts left (around 1/2 throttle). It won't go vertical, but it will maintain 45 degrees.

I'm new to this and this is still the one aspect of this hobby that confounds me...

Anything that can help us sort this whole prop/motor thing out is welcome!
