I'd love to have a GoPro mounted to get great video, but when money is tight I have to think how can I do this cheaper.
Requirement one: Record is button press
I found this great little project to make an action cam with a raspberry pi, so that's one box ticked.

Requirement two: The Camera
The Pi cam is a nice little bit of kit and works well to give a good quality video, but the field of view is a bit lacking in its original form, so I upgraded it to take a standard FPV lens with this guide.

Requirement three: The case
Living is Scotland means rain, so using my CAD student skills I've put together a little design, I'm sure it'll need tweaks as it's my first 3D print but you've got to start somewhere.

Next step will follow one my print arrives.
