FliteTest in Phoenix RC (Model Index)

Thanks Flite Test for doing this! I also could not get it to work at first as far as planes showing but updating to version 5.5.I fixed it. I did have to create the "aircraft" folder which was not there by default.

Have development of new FT models stopped?

Will we see the FT simple Cub?

Kracken?
Love having the FT planes in Phoenix. JohnRambozo has done an awesome job and it's appreciated. Further contributions may be in doubt, however, since his last post on the FliteTest forums was on 04-28-2017.

Simple Scout Phoenix model

Hi guys,

First post here, but I've been building and posting Phoenix models over at RCGroups for a couple of years.

My first Flite Test creation is the Simple Scout, which can be downloaded at this link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4v2p5g9c9s7ap02/FT Simple Scout.pkg?dl=0

You'll need to install it just like you would a model downloaded directly from Phoenix.
Launch PhoenixRC, but click "Advanced >>" instead "Start Phoenix R/C".
Then click "Install an update" and navigate to the downloaded .pkg file.
After that it's fairly self-explanatory.

Let me know if you like the Simple Scout and I'll then build a Simple Cub.

Almost forgot - you can find a ton of other Phoenix models in this RCG thread:

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2382571-User-Built-Models-for-PhoenixRC&perpage=20

Cheers, rick p

Simple Cub Phoenix model - Updated

The Flite Test guys have done a great job on this one, and I hope it's reflected in this Phoenix model.

Download the pkg file here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bz6htl0qmhg5kgq/FT Simple Cub v09.pkg?dl=0

Then install as a PhoenixRC update and you'll find "Flite Test Simple Cub" in the electric list.

Enjoy, rick p

ps: v09 was tuned by aelflyer - much better and thanks!

Great job JohnRambozo

Hey I recently discovered this page and I always wanted to fly the Flite Test planes so I could get the feeling before building them and also to decide which one to build.

Thank you so much JohnRambozo, is there anything I can do to help you with the process of creating those planes from the "Upcoming" list.

Thank you
JD

Looking forward to the simple scout.
Maybe start your own thread with the first post kept up to date with the models.

Thanks!!!

NutBall?

John RamBozo, I'd like to submit a request for the FT Nutball for Phoenix RC. Our Engineering Club is building the model and we'd like to offer the kids a chance at virtual flying before the actual flight. We've tried the Sparrow build but the students couln't get it to fly but they loved the virtual flying thanks to you. Thanks so much

Hi chiprs,

I'm not John, but I do happen to have just posted a Nutball Phoenix model in the forum below.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=38768404&postcount=2159

I think it's great that you're helping the students, and hope that the Nutball Phoenix model contributes.
Happy to repaint it if the two existing schemes don't work for you.

Enjoy, rick p
