Hi joeyconrad, welcome to the forum! This is your first DIY multirotor, but have you ever flown a multirotor before? If not then I suggest you start with a ready to fly trainer multirotor such as the Blade NanoQX. It's good to get the basics of flying down before you risk flying the build you worked so hard on.

If you have flown multirotors before or are just set on starting DIY, then could you should more information on the kind of multirotor you want. What size, what do you want to do with it, how much do you want to spend? Then we can help with specific electronics.

If you are wondering about the basic components of a multirotor build you will need these things:
-Receiver
-Flight controller
-ESCs (1 per motor)
-Motors (4 for quad, 6 for hex, 8 for octo, ect)
-Propellers
-Battery

Hope this helps get you started!
