Motor for the Beaver came today, installed. Servos and control arms all installed and centered, flaps all set to work from switch B on my transmitter. Did a weigh in with a 2200 Mah 3S and it came in at 617 grams so final weigh in shouldn't be too far from that. Pushrods and control horns left and the bottom hatch/cover and probably couple little odds and ends and this should be done tommorrow night

Yeah, stunning job for sure. Some real talent there!
Just one thing - I never realized the Beaver has such an ugly tail. If it were my plane I would have re-shape that vert stab for sure and scale be damned!

IDK, I think the smaller tailfeathers really make the look of those early aircraft designs. That being said, I roughly kept the shape but I scaled up the rudder quite a bit myself to be more STOL style.

Hello everyone, I am making a torbo beaver, as I did not just want to copy @Ratcheeroo idea. it is mm size, but I do nto know what technique to use in making the wing. Armin, or flitetetest, or kfm, and if kfm which one? It is 30 inches in wingspan. also, could someone explain how to measure out ms. skis in cad. I have the formers, but want to digitize the plans and do not know how. for now, the nose is almost done still working on the skis, last one, then comes the easy part. will update soon.
Here's tonights progress on the Beaver, just about there. It's all wired up, control surfaces are nice and flush and go the proper ways, flaps work perfect, some vinyl for the cowl and address the bottom plate and I think it will be ready. Love the stripe.
Thanks guys, forgot to post the lights, had these LED strip lights laying around and an extra channel on the receiver and figured why not. Pretty cool ,controlled from my transmitter - 5 modes, on/

So the lights have some kind of remote switch that they Y-connect into , you then plug it into an open channel on your receiver and assign a switch to it on your transmitter, in my case I plugged into channel 6, went into Aux channels on my receiver and assigned switch A to channel six. flick the switch down for a couple of seconds to turn lights on/off or quick toggles of the switch will cycle through the modes - constant on,strobe fast slow etc. Think I paid $15 on Amazon, half metre of each colored strip red and green. Super bright
