whats the camera for off the side pointing up?
Its a little trick I've done before. When you're turning hard right in the trees you can look ahead at the next obstacle but that little eachine camera has far to narrow field of view to work well for that, its just what I grabbed out of the drawer!

Not very pretty but from plans to a plane in 3 hours isnt bad! (Excluding the wing that I grabbed from a scrapped build from years ago) I used some unique techniques for this bush plane speedrun, such as spray paint for tracing and not using a ruler lol.

Yes I know there is a ruler in the pictures but it's faster to not use it if you're under a time constraint. Now time to do the tests film and edit all before Thanksgiving breakfast tomorrow.

P.S. dont have your prop on when you are reversing channels, I was lucky but you might not be.

Nice, we needed a Cub in the challenge. Do the exhibition first, then the durability and last the payload. You most certaninly are going to damage it as you put more weight. Good luck.

I am using pvc electrical tape. Takes a lot of abuse and so far I had no problems with that tape. Dirt cheap also.
Yep, I'm doing the same. My sister had a lot of rolls of the stuff for some things she was doing, so I just used some of that. It seems pretty tough and sticks well. You should also be able to peel it off and re wrap once it wears out, but my last pair of wheels just got destroyed before I had a chance.

So here's what I was able to get done. I was able to complete both the STOL and durability challenges. I'm not overly pleased with the results but with the deadline fast approaching and incoming rain, this is what I am able to get. I'll also add that because of the weather, I was unable to complete the payload portion of the challenge. Not pleased about that either. As for the plane, it weighs a little over a pound with a 1300mAh 3 cell. It's powered by a flite test C pack and swings a 10X7" prop. Flaperons run almost the entire length of the wing with increments of 25 and 55 degrees for the flaps. STOL performance is pretty good I'd say (better than I'd thought it'd be)! Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy what I was able to get done.
