This gem of a plane is not made by me but, rather my uncle who I am so glad I got into the hobby

It's a pretty big plane made of elmer's foamboard covered with clear packing tape, after the maiden we increased the throws, the size of the vertical fins, made a scoop for cooling the ESC and moved the 2200 3s back about an inch. The reuslt yields the best flyer I've had the chance to fly so far.

It has an ntm 2836 2700kv on a 6x4 prop with a 50 amp esc and some metal gear servos. It glides really well, can fly slow, has excellant vertical and flys inverted and can do some pretty tight loops (which I find rare in deltas).

here are some flights

Figured I'd share

You never know what the paybacks are from getting others into the hobby :)

I guess it was designed around that 2200 3s - the right wing loading giving you such a wide range of speeds.
Very nice - looks like a production model, nicely finished.
Did you do an FT Article on this? If not, you should.
Looks like it was designed by an uncle who happens to be a NASA scientist(!)

I had a Delta Ray and wanted to build one like your uncle has done Please share plans as this flies really a lot like my Delta did.
