That's today! Airborne All The Way!

I made a video last week, as a practice to reminisce about my youth when I was brave and bold (no longer the case!) :

(It's a bit long at close to 30 minutes, and I end up destroying a M113 on a LAPES drop -- which is rather close to real-life when they used to do this stuff. Lots of equipment was destroyed and more than a few lives lost. They don't do this anymore!)

I've been flying simulators a lot lately since the pandemic started. One of them, Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) has a free user (Anubis) created C-130 Hercules aircraft mod that implements a surprising number of features (payload, multiple crew stations, damage/failures, parachute operations, etc)

What I really get a kick out of is, it's all freely downloadable and you really don't need to spend any money, except having a decent system and controllers to run it:

Wake up! Time to fly!
I watched the whole thing and commented on yt. I also subbed you on my newer channel as we were subbed on the old account and I hadn't updated a few subs since the change. Saw you subbed me and went Oh crap.. I missed Mak. So you got a new sub today too.

You got that big beast pretty much under control. Looked like you flew very smooth and stable.. We will just have to bill you for that vehicle though. There was no excuse for that haha. You hung yourself when you stated you weren't dropping gear like you are supposed to and do a touch n go to drop heavy equipment. The infantry drop looked perfect right down the line just off the runway.

I've had the pleasure of jumping with some Marines and Paras from the UK. All ages ago, but the memories are strong. Much to learn from working with units in other branches and countries!
