@FPVAirCombat has inspired me to build a PC 21 for scale cockpit FPV. He does some really nice scale flying and dogfighting with his FMS PC 21, and he posts the videos on this thread. I decided it looked like too much fun to miss out on, so I have designed my own out of balsa!
Specs:
Wingspan: 65cm (25.6in)
Length: 75cm (29.5in)
Wing Area: 8.5dm2 (131.5in2)
Aerofoil: Clark Y
Estimated Flying Weight: 380 grams (13.4 oz)
Motor: RS 2205 2300kv (the old F Pack motor)
ESC: 18A Turnigy Plush
Here's the side view of the fuselage in Fusion 360. The canopy will be made by heat forming a plastic drink bottle.
I didn't know if you can print a Fusion 360 drawing or not, so I just hand drew the drawing on to paper to build over. The paper plan does not include the upper curved turtledeck section or the canopy, which is why it doesn't look much like the CAD drawing. The little triangle at the front is for the air intake.
I'll hopefully start cutting wood tomorrow. I can't wait!
