Heading out to the Mayo for another round of probes, electrodes & noisy tubes. Nothing serious, just need to confirm that I'm fully recovered from when I had the COVID. Here is an update for now, as the next one won't be for another week or so. Spent a but load of time making those little bends for the main gear using medieval tools on 1/8th" wire. Then another bout, of what seemed like days, on the scroll saw to cut out the pieces for the wheel fairings & pants. The plan was to carve & sand to shape & use that to vacuum form a set. This is going to take up way too much time, so I've ordered a set of generic Gee Bee ones from Park Flyer Plastics along with a set of the 3.5" wheel classic pants. It was $35 for both with shipping. I'd figure that one of the two should be close enough for the pants & I'll make the strut fairings. Got the fairings in on the bottom of the wing & did a little modifying of a Dubro tailwheel to make it look some what, like something that would be added to a Gee Bee. The original had a skid, but I need one to make it easier to taxi out from the pit area. There is a C model, with the D mod's in a Texas museum that has the tail wheel. The next big fabrication items R those big Gee Bee wing fillets & the cowling. Hopefully after that, there is a quick end to this project. Thanks
@FlyingTyger for the input. Received the Tech-Aero IBEC form Gator RC. Now I should be able to use 1 bat without any issues. The pics of the vacuum formed parts R what I've ordered.
