I know nothing!
This one always seems to be a little progress at a time. This time it's installing servos servo wires oh yeah, the motor nacelle is mounted. I have toothpicks. I will add skewers for strength and rounding out the front of the struts.

It's looking beautiful! Do you really think that spaghetti mount is going to hold the nacelle? It's a beautiful thing, but the strength looks a bit sketchy. :)

When it wasn't glued in just stuck in with toothpicks if he'll good to about 50% throttle. Well let's just say I'm glad I wasn't in front of these props when they came out. The reinforcements along the front of these will keep them stiff and the info glue will keep them tied down. The only other thing I could think of is to physically strap them down not really sure how to do it and keep that scale look.

It looks amazing!:D It's really starting to come together, I can't wait to see the maiden video. Reinforcing the motor mount and the struts as much as possible without losing scale is definitely a must. but it will be beautiful when she flies. Keep up the good work!

Um... "Maybe" revisit the mount... Can you switch over to bamboo skewers?
I think pushing them up from under the wing would give plenty of strength!

Looking good so far!

Thank you for the support and encouragement. I will certainly reinforce before I attempt the maiden. servos, and red cellophane shrink wrap on the pontoon bottoms. That's how I'm water proofing them (In part).

I updated the first Post and added the balsa plan references from outerzone as part of the FTFC20 Classic to Modern Challenge.

Started making movement on this one again, by robbing Peter (spruce gosling) to pay Paul I realized I could get this project moving.

Something I noticed, the waterproofed servos are much slower than normal. The blue goo in the gear chamber must be too thick

All that's left... Rigging, and figure out what's with that motor. (possible reset the throttle range on the ESC)

Here is a Video with good in field action taken from an build thread on RCGroups:
Decals from there too:

I will take the ones I like from here and add them to the plan set for use in the build. (sized for the craft)

I will use this to make sure my craft is balanced correctly. CG right at the step (as expected), or above the rear strut mount to the engine.

I continue to dive and find ALL kinds of interesting tid bits. Rabbit holes are fun!
The Star Trek the Next Generation fan found this Plane Call ID INteresting - Resisting building this plane is Futile.

One of the Italian MilitaryLeaders , General Balbo (His plane was I-BALB), was famous for taking large groups of these planes and doing missions with a flock of these craft, which soon became known as a Balbo.
This craft has a large payload and was great for transport of men, and other sundries.

The video was a great find. The stills don't do her justice. She was a real beauty!
