Today's Progress...

This is SO COOL!! It's also incredibly lightweight. That's GOOD, because it's going behind the CoG.
DEFINITELY better than the one I did on the Scout! 😊

The Turtle Deck is so far the hardest part!! 😖
Mostly because I've had to make adjustments along the way...
Now.... To shift some weight forward.....
The thin Control Rods are almost fully supported by Coffee Stirrers, all the way back.
..... note how I CHANGED the Vstab. 😉
The Rear Turtle Deck, as cut by the Plans, and extended at the back 2", does not fit at the Pilot's Headrest...
Adjustments need to be made.
He's a bit big.... But he is at least shorter than the Headrest! 😊

Got the Servos installed and the Control Rods ran, supported by Coffee Stirrers.
ACTUALLY, my last Post explained why no Pilot up Front!
A quick test...
A LOT OF tweaking!!! 😳😖😣 I forgot how thick this Wire was! (3.2mm)
I decided to install the Gear into the front of the Wing. The "slide in" pad butts up perfectly against the Wing Spar. 👍👍
..... For another Day though.
This next trick is for anyone who has trouble getting two Seams to butt up nicely... 😉
It really makes a difference...
Just WAIT until I can FINALLY get my Master Series P-47. I can really show you Guys a pretty Fuselage and Wings - without significant weight gain!! 😎

Does the servo in the front control the elevator? If so I would say you did the right thing by giving it the mechanical advantage of more up swing then down. I don't know if this was on purpose or a happy accident but good job. You also have the added advantage of pull to positive which is something I try to do whenever I can.

Thanks!! The Servo in front does control the Elevator.
Oh, and Differential was on purpose. 😉
After 2 years of the "School of YouTube", I definitely try to go Pull to Positive any time I can. Sure it would look better under the Hstab... But I'd much rather have Safety.
ESPECIALLY because if possible, I'm taking Greyson to the Field for the Maiden!!! 😊
He's still asking for the Duster, but really gets a chuckle whenever I say "Baby Blender"!! 😆😄😋

It's really locked in. NO Packing Tape - that has a HIGH Failure rate!!
NOW, the cool bit. For me anyway... Also the reason why I did B Folds on the Fuse, instead of A Folds! 😎
I thought of this before I made my first cut...
... Between the extended Tail and some beauty Mods, She was quite Tail Heavy....
NOT DOING THAT AGAIN! 😖
Now to make the Power Pod even STRONGER.
I just really don't like the unfinished look of the early designs! This was an easy fix. 😉
STILL don't know what I'm doing for the bottom of the Wings, for orientation...
Right now, this Old Fart NEEDS rest!!
My Grandson REALLY needs help when he comes home....

I'm eternally grateful for that one awesome Soul. We're not halfway there yet - but at least my Faith in Humanity is a bit restored.

And there was pink, HEALTHY skin underneath!! ❤😃😃😃😃
